Michael Burian

This open-minded guy from Southern Bohemia has made it a long way during the past few years to become of the most popular Central European DJs. His sexy sound is now rocking all across Europe.

Michael's DJ career started at the tender age of 15, when he was first booked to play his school's Christmas party. Discovering the beauty of electronic music, and yet looking beyond, it was only after high school and this experience that he realized his future was music.

His early moves were in the promotion and booking aspects of the business. This period brought him to local fame in party promotions, and it was during this same period he began to appear as "DJ Electromajk" behind the turntables.

The name DJ Elektromajk is associated with many happy years; Michael became the No.1 Czech DJ, this as voted by the readers of Xmag Magazine and Techno.cz, the most influential and followed dance music media outlets in the Czech Republic. Due to this fame, Michael has become a regular guest of the largest and most popular dance events in the Czech Republic, the UK, Germany, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.

Finding the name "Electromajk" hard to understand and, even worse, to pronounce outside of the Czech Republic, Michael recently returned to using his given name MICHAEL BURIAN when he joined JPA Booking (one of the most successful and respected promotion agencies in the region, producers of Creamfields Prague festival among other events).

Michael never wanted to be just a DJ. From the very beginning of his career he has produced his own music. His first European success, "Orgasmiczech', opened the way for him with berlin label MFS and with the newly established label Flesh, where he now releases his music (in worldwide distribution by Intergroove). The second single released on Flesh "Blow Me/Hotmale" became the #1 Czech Single of the Year (2003), also selling exceedingly well all across Europe

German UNIVERSAL MUSIC included "Hotmail" into its compilation. In 2002 UK MINISTRY magazine used a new Michael s single Sound of cherry on own compilation.

Michael Burian is opening a brand new chapter of his life for the year 2004.

Completing his residency with ZEN @ Roxy Prague (voted the Best Czech Party 2000, 2001, and 2002), Michael is now presenting a brand new musical night and vision named "VISAGE". As the creator of the concept, Michael is acting as the "VISAGE" leading force and resident, securing his place as the leading Czech dance music artist also inviting guest djs from all around the world.

In 2004, Michael gets to know DJ Moguai and invites him to his Visage- Party in the Club „Roxy“ in Praque. This is the start of a big friendship and both decide to start their „Freakstour“ in Eastern Europe. More and more dj colleagues and promoters notice Micheal and soon he performs at the top-evtents. „Circle Music“ from Munich ask Micheal to produce an EP on their label. This EP comes out in June of 2005 with the tracks named „Praha“, „River“ and „Metro“. DJ-workmate Paul van Dyke playes „River“ in his sets and on his own radioshow. Micheal decides to produce a video for „Praha“ which is televiced on „Ocko-TV“, „Viva-Poland“ and „Prima-TV“.

Owing to his international gigs and the evtens together with Paul van Dyk, Tiesto and Armin van Buren in the T-Mobile-Arena in Praque with more than fourty thousand people, the music scene becomes aware of Michael. As a consequence, Werner Giese from Dancefield notice Michael and sign him on exlusively for Germany.

Even the fashion scene became inspired by Micheal´s music and so „Diesel“ employs him to play for their fashion shows in Czeck Republic and in Slowaky. „Diesel“ is absolutely enthusiastic about Michael and his sets and employs him to play for their shows in 2005.

In 2005, Michael is awarded several prices. For second time he wins the Danceaward for best national dj. Furthermore, he is awarded for best radioshow in Czeck Republic: as resident dj at "Radio Europa 2 ". He gets a Danceaward for his show named "dance extravaganza". Additionaly - with his Visage-partys in the legendary Roxy-Club - he wins a Danceaward for best event.

With increasing success the demand increases too: in 2005 Michael performs in India, Slowaky, Middle and South-Amerika to name only a few.

In november of the same year he starts a big tour withTiesto across Eastern Europe. As Headliner he is confirmed for events such as "Nature One" (Germany & Poland), "Ruhr in love" (Germany), the "E-lake festival" in Luxemburg and "Summer of love" in Czeck Repubic.
